The bus has left
Artwork: Nadine Rothe
A theatrical bus ride through the ‘working-class city’ of Chemnitz: the audience travels in an old Ikarus bus past the Karl-Marx-Kopf, factories, the football stadium – typical places of the working-class city. But isn’t there more to it than that?
‘The bus has left’ shows female perspectives on the topic of work: What is work? What does the daily working environment look like? And what do feelings have to do with work?
The bus journey is organised by women/FLINTA* who live in Chemnitz or the surrounding area. They play their own stories and add important perspectives to the narrative about Chemnitz!
Guests can expect music, dance, puppet theatre and performance in unusual and special locations.
After the bus trip, you can enjoy a drink in the Weltecho and talk about the performance and find out more about the background to the project.
