Project Description

( Digging up Chemnitz )

ORIGINAL: Chemnitz umgraben

In the theatrical city walk stories from, with and about Chemnitz are played, told, performed and left to chance.
Five people from Chemnitz spent two months doing aesthetic research in the city and rummaging through their memories. A play emerged from the observations and experiences in which the audience follows us through the alleys and houses, across meadows, streets and squares to a very personal Chemnitz.

In the end there is the show. Together we do the work on the way there, create the atmosphere, give impulses. (Look up devised theatre.) To lead everything to a coherent whole, which follows a superordinate idea, a concept, a question – that is my job as a director.
